J Money is a Southern rap artist from Crawford, Mississippi. J Money grew up with music like blues and R&B, but soon gravitated towards hip hop. J Money cites LL Cool J and Tupac as major influences for his musical career. While attending college playing baseball, an injury sidelined J Money from trying out for the pros. After dropping the single Peanut Butter & Jelly with fellow Mississippi native Cadillac Don, the song gained national attention. The single's music video was directed by Brian Frank and released in 2006.

His new album includes guest appearances from Yo Gotti, Jim Jones, Tremble, Slim Thug and 8ball and MJG. The album features the hit singles "I'M BALLIN" with Rick Ross and "SHE BAD" with Lil Boosie.
